Sri Govindaji Gaudiya Matha of Houston is happy to announce that by the blessings of Sri Sri Guru and Gaurang we have acquired two acres of land in Houston for constructing the first temple of International Pure Bhakti Yoga Society in North America. The location is near a busy highway in northwest part of Houston. This area has very good neighborhoods all around with affordable housing options. This area of Houston also has many people of Indian descent.
On the 24th of May, 2009 at 7:30am our dear Gurudeva, His Divine Grace BV Narayan Maharaja will oversee the sacred Bhoomi Pooja on the land purchased by the Matha. The Vedic rituals will be performed by Sripad BV Tirtha Maharaja. The Bhoomi Puja will be on the second day of the Houston Bhakti Yoga Festival. The Houston sanga will like to cordially invite all the devotees around the world to come and join us in this very auspicious and significant event.
Plans for construction are in the works and those who are able to assist in any capacity are encouraged to contact Vishnu das at 281-491- 4114 or email vishnudas16@yahoo.com.
